This week in the Club, we're hanging out with Brian & John from Cinema Psychos Podcast to talk all about Dune (1984). You may have seen the new Dune movies, but have you seen the OG? Dust off your VCR, pop in the VHS, and join us in the chat to share your thoughts on this 1984 epic science fiction film written and directed by David Lynch and based on the 1955 Frank Herbert novel. Brian Cottington is a podcaster, educator, and independent filmmaker with over 20 years experience. He is the Show Producer & Co-Host of The Cinema Psychos Show, a long running movie review/comedy podcast that tackles the in’s and outs of movies, both good and bad, with comedic-yet-knowledgeable flair. Brian also serves as the video designer and editor at Libsyn as well as an adjunct instructor at Chatham University where he helped build up the university’s first podcasting course, now in it’s 4th year. John Wooliscroft is an independent filmmaker, videographer, documentarian, and comedy writer/performer. Don’t ask him to tell you a joke or he will punch you in whatever genitals you may have. John puts his over 20 years of film experience to, let’s call it, good use, making an eclectic group of short films and the occasional feature.
